When it comes to drag racing, it's all about removing variables from the equation and keeping the car as consistent as possible. That can be extremely difficult to do if you do not have a device to measure those consistencies. One of the most important moments in drag racing is the launch, because it can effect your elapsed time as well as your reaction time. If your vehicle is not launching consistently every time, there is no way to be consistent and go rounds.
The Vehicle Reaction Timer is designed to remove the drivers reaction time from the launch and just measures how long it takes the car to launch each pass. This allows you to identify and track any inconsistencies that your car has during launch that will adversely effect your reaction time and elapsed time.
The VRT won't show you any information during the run and because of that, is legal in all drag racing classes that allow electronics. The unit comes with the VRT box as well as a remote mount accelerometer to sense the launch.
